Jeffrey A. Seaman, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVS

Dr. Jeffrey A. Seaman is available for consultations and surgery at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists. His areas of special interest include orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and neurosurgery.
Dr. Seaman received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY in 1999. The following year, he completed a rotating internship in medicine, surgery and emergency at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey.
After completing the internship, he was hired as an associate veterinarian at Oradell, where he practiced general medicine as well as emergency. He subsequently was employed as an assistant research scientist, participating in orthopedic research, and started his residency at the University of Minnesota. In 2008 he completed a residency in small animal surgery and completed course work for his Master’s degree at the University of Minnesota Campus in St. Paul. That same year he received the Mark S. Bloomberg Resident Research Award. Dr. Seaman received board certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2010.
Before joining Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Seaman was a surgeon in New York City and vicinity.
Dr. Seaman has conducted original research on bone grafts and tibial fractures and has authored several articles that have been published in the professional veterinary medical literature. He is currently a member of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, the American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medical Society and Veterinary Medical Association of New York City.
