At Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists, we'll help you navigate our options for payment and financing so you can focus on getting your pet the care he or she needs.
- Can you help with my pet insurance?
We would be happy to help you complete any pet insurance forms for your pet's visit - just ask for assistance.
- Do you accept pet insurance?
Yes. We participate with a number of pet insurance plans in which you (the pet owner) can be reimbursed by the insurance plan, upon presenting them with a receipt of payment.
- How much will my visit cost?
Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists is a specialty and emergency hospital. Therefore, our fees may differ from your regular veterinarian.
Upon our examination of your pet, you will be provided with a cost estimate for any proposed diagnostics and treatment. You will be required to pay 100% of the low end of the estimate as a deposit, and the balance will need to be paid on discharge of your pet.
- What fees are associated with a specialty appointment?
You will be financially responsible for the initial examination fee and any diagnostics or treatment that you provide consent to for your pet's treatment.
Payment is due at the time services are rendered. For further hospitalization, diagnostics or surgery, we require 100% of the low end of our cost estimate upfront, with payment in full due when your pet is discharged.
- What fees are associated with an emergency visit?
A deposit payment is required for all emergency exams. Once our staff and veterinarians examine your pet, we will provide a cost estimate for treatment so a treatment plan can be determined.
For further hospitalization, surgery or diagnostics, 100% of the low end of the cost estimate will be required upfront, with payment in full due when your pet is discharged.
- What types of payment options are available?
We require 100% of the low end of any cost estimate for any proposed diagnostics and treatment after your pet is examined. The balance will need to be paid when your pet is discharged. We accept payment via MasterCard, AMEX, Visa, Discover and cash.
We also offer six months promotional financing* with CareCredit®, on qualifying purchases of $200 or more. These can be made with your CareCredit credit card account.

- Will I be provided with an estimate of costs?
Prior to treating your pet, we will provide a good-faith estimate of the cost of our services.
However, unforeseen circumstances can sometimes arise, which may impact the amount of your final bill.
We always discuss our written estimate with each client before they leave our facility, and a deposit is required based on our estimate before any further treatment is provided.
Pay Online (Bohemia Location Only)
For services rendered at our Bohemia location, you can settle your balance without even having to leave your home.
Please Note: Online payment is not currently available at our Farmingdale location.
