Amy Brida, DVM, DACVECC

Amy Brida is our new board-certified Veterinary Criticalist. Dr. Brida attended the University of Delaware in Newark, DE where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She then attended the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, VA where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She then completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ. Following her internship, she completed a critical care residency at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Grafton, MA.

Dr. Brida has a special interest in trauma, acid/base and electrolyte derangements, acute kidney injury and sepsis. Her favorite parts of veterinary medicine include being an influence on the bond between owners and their pets, teaching, taking care of geriatric animals and getting to see all the different personalities of hospitalized cats.

In her spare time, Dr. Brida enjoys traveling, hiking, exercising, observing and photographing wildlife, reading, and spending time with her two young kids.
