Surgery
Dr. Farrah Horowitz earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota. She then completed a rotating medical and surgical internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan and a surgical internship at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center in Texas. Dr. Horowitz acquired advanced training as a resident in small animal surgery at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) where she earned her Masters in Biomedical Veterinary Science and fulfilled her credentials to become a Board Certified Small Animal Surgeon.
Dr. Horowitz is a native Long Islander and spent the last 13 years practicing in the Long Island/NYC area. With 20 years of experience, she enjoys tackling challenging cases and collaborating with other veterinarians and their teams to provide the best care for patients. Her interests include pain management, soft tissue reconstruction, oncologic surgery, and orthopedics.
During her time away from work, Dr. Horowitz enjoys spending time with her husband and twin boys biking, traveling, hiking, and baking.
