Dr. Andrew Kyles joined the team at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists in December of 2020 as the head of our Surgery department. Dr. Kyles earned his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) from the University of Glasgow in 1988 and his Ph.D. from the University of Bristol in 1992. Dr. Kyles earned his board certification from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1997.
Dr. Andrew Kyles is a renowned soft tissue and orthopedic surgeon. As former faculty at University of George and University of California, Davis, he brings invaluable knowledge to our surgical team. He is a former senior surgeon at NYC Veterinary Specialists, where he practiced for 14 years. Additionally, he boats an extensive history of publications, which includes more than 80 original papers in referenced journals. Furthermore, he has trained a total of 25 residents as well as various other students throughout his storied career.
Dr. Andrew Kyles is a committed surgeon whose mission is to use surgery to help your pet heal and prosper. In his downtime, Dr. Kyles enjoys spending time with adorable rescued pets, which includes a Yorkshire Terrier named Gwen, a mixed breed named Maggie, and two cats by the names of Berry and Carmen.
